Dr. Jonathan H. Talamo's clinical team includes Dr. Kathryn M. Hatch, Dr. Karen L. Zar and a group of experienced, talented, caring office and operating room personnel whose principal goal is to make your visit with us as informative, pleasant and as stress-free as possible.

Kathryn M. Hatch, M.D.,

completed her Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. She is experienced in all laser refractive surgery including femtosecond laser technology, LASIK, advanced surface ablation, arcuate keratotomy for astigmatism, premium intraocular lens surgery, as well as intacs (corneal segments) for keratoconus. Dr. Hatch also has experience in the treatment of ocular surface disease, corneal dystrophies and anterior segment reconstruction. She has advanced training in cataract surgery and corneal transplantation surgery including both full thickness penetrating keratoplasty and the partial thickness transplant surgery, DSEK (descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasy).

Dr. Hatch, a native Bostonian, received her undergraduate education at Middlebury College and went to medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She completely her ophthalmology residency training at New York University and The Manhattan, Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.

Her interests include refractive surgery, cataract and corneal transplant surgery. She is involved in research and clinical investigation in multiple areas including microbial keratitis and nanotechnology for its use in ophthalmology.

Outside of work, Dr. Hatch runs both recreationally and competitively. A two-time All-American in Cross-Country running at Middlebury, Dr. Hatch completed 9 marathons and has run in several National Track and road races.
